Principal Duties & Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to be responsible for developing and leading our retail division , which encompasses spearheading overall Retail Business profitability , ensuring the over-achievement of topline and bottom-line targets, growing new channel acquisitions , and proper management of high-level brand pitches and offline distribution networks. The role's functional scope demands a visionary leader who can drive growth, enhance customer experience, and optimize the performance of our retail outlets. You are expected to anchor the function and drive execution through the guidance of the CCO. You will report to the CCO , champion the strategic expansion plans , and establish and maintain proper structural controls in budgeting, sales forecasting, and expense management. This person should be highly confident with omni-channel commerce and will use data and insights to their full potential , knowing that complex retail analytics, market trends, and customer feedback loops can be translated into concise, profitable business decisions. The ideal candidate understands the intricacies of brick-and-mortar retail operations, B2B distribution channels, and commercial strategy, and is exceptionally comfortable working with numbers. This person will work closely with the CCO and cross-functionally with brand partners, mall operators, and internal commercial heads , advising them on tailored merchandise assortments, optimal inventory control, and strategic pricing models.
Job Responsibilities:
Spearhead overall Retail Business profitability and drive the over-achievement of both topline and bottom-line targets as the end-responsible P&L owner.
Ensure that comprehensive retail strategies and expansion plans are fully executed in complete alignment with the company’s overarching commercial objectives.
Build and maintain robust financial structures, owning the development and management of retail budgets, sales forecasts, and operational expenses.
Deliver timely, accurate Business Reviews and strategic recommendations to brand partners while monitoring financial performance and implementing cost-effective measures to maximize margins.
Monitor and maintain optimal merchandising standards, ensuring the best product assortment is brought offline, inventory counts are properly replenished, and over-stocking or non-moving items are actively avoided.
Work closely with major offline stakeholders to lead high-level pitches and contract negotiations with brand owners, malls, and retailers for strategic offline distribution.
Lead the formulation of annual and monthly sales plans by deeply analyzing customer goals, market trends, platform capabilities, and external retail indicators.
Perform continuous data-driven evaluations on customer feedback and sales metrics to implement targeted promotions, enhance foot traffic, and maximize customer experience.
Provide timely leadership, direction, and coaching to the retail team, developing a high-performance organizational structure through proactive recruitment, training, and mentorship.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Commercial Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven director-level leadership experience in managing comprehensive Retail, B2B distribution, or Corporate Commercial accounts, with full corporate P&L ownership.
Deep understanding of offline merchandising execution, inventory optimization, pricing structures, and retail channel dynamics.
Proactive and high-ownership attitude, with a visionary approach to tapping, onboarding, and scaling planned key clients and retail channels.
Analytical, data-driven mindset with a strong capability to interpret complex sales data, forecast trends, and mitigate financial or inventory shortages.
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, enabling successful commercial navigation with tier-1 brands, mall developers, and external retail networks.
