A Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing suppliers, ordering materials, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods needed for operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers
- Prepare and process purchase orders
- Negotiate prices and delivery terms
- Monitor inventory and ensure stock availability
- Track orders and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain accurate purchasing records
Daily Tasks:
- Review purchase requests
- Compare supplier quotations
- Communicate with vendors
- Update procurement records
- Coordinate with warehouse or other departments
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledgeable in SAP system (preferred but not required)
