The Utility/Maintenance Staff is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and maintenance of company facilities. The role includes performing minor repairs, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment to support the company’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and tools.
- Address minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and services as needed.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
- Ensure all areas of the facility are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Request replenishment of supplies and equipment when needed.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards within the facility.
- Conduct basic preventative measures to minimize risks.
Support Services:
- Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for company events or meetings.
- Support other departments with tasks requiring physical labor or technical assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
- Experience in utility, maintenance, or janitorial work preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
