Payroll Assistant

Processes employee paychecks, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant compensation. They handle calculations for wages, tax withholdings, deductions, and bonuses while maintaining payroll records and addressing employee inquiries. This role requires high accuracy, familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Paycom, ADP), and knowledge of tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Calculate and process hourly/salaried employee pay, including overtime, bonuses, and commissions.
- Data Management: Review timesheets, enter data, and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and manage wage garnishments.
- Benefits & Deductions: Process, review, and audit benefit deductions, tax withholdings, and salary changes.
- Employee Support: Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Auditing & Reporting: Conduct audits of payroll data, prepare reports for HR/Finance, and reconcile payroll accounts.
