About the role
This role involves comprehensive occupational health and safety management, including hazard identification, compliance monitoring, policy development, incident investigation, training delivery, and record keeping across workplace operations.
Key responsibilities
Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts or conditions
Perform structured risk assessments and recommend control measures
Document hazards and track corrective actions
Ensure adherence to OSHA, ISO 45001, or OHS Act requirements
Maintain safety files, permits, and training records
Prepare for regulatory audits and inspections
Develop, implement, and update safety programs (e.g., IIPP, emergency response plans)
Investigate accidents, near-misses, and property damage
Conduct employee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher training
Maintain logs of incidents, inspections, training, and audits
