Sr. GL Accountant

Abbott seeks a Senior General Ledger Accountant for their Corporate Financial Services team in Taguig City. The role involves end-to-end accounting operations, month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support across multiple legal entities. The position requires collaboration with global finance teams and accountability for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments ensuring compliance with accounting policies
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and global financial statement preparation
- Oversee fixed asset registers, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal processes
- Lead annual costing activities and manage revenue recognition responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact for audit requirements and support internal/external audit processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of record-to-report experience in complex, multi-country shared services
- Strong proficiency in IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards
- Demonstrated expertise in balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
- SAP P01, SAP S/4HANA, or equivalent enterprise system experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
- Strong English communication skills for stakeholder interaction at all levels
