ROLE OVERVIEW
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational execution of the Company’s lending business , ensuring efficient loan processing, strong internal controls, compliance with policies, and coordination across Operations, Sales, Credit, Collections, Finance, and Compliance.
This role will also be responsible for monitoring sales performance, enforcing sales process discipline, and tracking sales-related KPIs , ensuring that business growth aligns with portfolio quality and risk standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lending Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end loan operations , from application intake to loan release and collections handoff
- Ensure compliance with approved credit terms, pricing, and documentation requirements
- Monitor loan releases to ensure alignment with approved sales targets and policies
2. Sales Monitoring & KPI Management
- Monitor sales performance of loan officers, relationship managers, and sales agents
- Track and report sales-related KPIs , including:
- Number of loan applications generated
- Approval and conversion rates
- Loan releases vs. sales targets
- Average loan size and product mix
- Sales pipeline and drop-off rates
- Repeat borrower rate
- Ensure sales activities comply with Company credit policies and ethical standards
- Flag inconsistencies between sales volume and portfolio quality
- Coordinate with Sales and Credit teams to improve conversion while maintaining risk standards
3. Portfolio Quality & Risk Coordination
- Monitor early indicators of portfolio risk related to sales sourcing
- Track delinquency trends by sales officer or channel
- Escalate sales-driven risk issues to management and Credit/Risk teams
- Support corrective action plans for underperforming sales channels
4. Process Development & SOP Implementation
- Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)across operations and sales execution
- Improve turnaround time (TAT) for loan processing without compromising controls
- Ensure consistent sales-to-operations handoff processes
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Sales teams for pipeline and performance monitoring
- Credit & Risk teams for approval execution
- Finance for loan booking and reconciliation
- Collections for account monitoring
- Compliance for KYC and AML alignment
- Ensure clear communication and accountability across departments
6. Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure proper implementation of KYC and onboarding procedures
- Enforce documentation completeness and accuracy
- Support audits and regulatory reviews
- Maintain segregation of duties between Sales, Credit, and Operations
7. Team Management & Performance
- Supervise operations and support staff
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales-support targets
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching
- Enforce discipline, accountability, and process adherence
8. Customer Experience & Issue Resolution
- Oversee customer service standards related to loan processing and servicing
- Resolve escalated operational or sales-related client issues
- Ensure professional and timely borrower communication
9. Systems & Data Integrity
- Ensure accuracy of data in loan and CRM systems
- Support system enhancements for sales and operations tracking
- Ensure data consistency across Sales, Operations, and Finance systems
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of operations experience
- At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Experience in lending, financing, banking, or financial services is required
- Experience working closely with sales teams is highly preferred
