Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
• Review and monitor accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation .
• Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger accounts, schedules, and account reconciliations .
• Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensure timely recording and settlement of transactions.
• Monitor customer billings, collections, supplier invoices, and payment requests.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports .
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Monitor company expenses and ensure proper allocation and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with the HR Department regarding payroll, employee deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related accounting matters .
• Ensure proper recording and remittance of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding taxes, and other government-mandated contributions and taxes , as applicable.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of BIR returns and other regulatory reports .
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, suppliers, and government agencies when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies .
• Review and approve accounting documents within the scope of assigned authority.
• Monitor cash advances, liquidations, reimbursements, and company expenses.
• Maintain proper filing and safekeeping of accounting records and financial documents.
• Assist management in financial analysis and provide accounting information needed for business decisions.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Establish and improve internal controls to minimize errors, irregularities, and financial risks.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff.
• Prepare regular accounting and financial reports for management.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience , with experience in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting .
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG requirements .
• Experience in preparing and reviewing BIR tax returns and government compliance reports .
• Experience with construction, engineering, project-based, or contracting companies is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with ERP or computerized accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism .
• Willing to coordinate with company sites, banks, suppliers, auditors, and government offices when required.
