Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding

Description
Build and strengthen relationships with freight forwarders, shippers, and logistics partners.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and professional networking activities to generate leads.
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives to expand cargo service visibility.
- Prepare persuasive proposals, pitches, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Negotiate freight rates, contract terms, and commercial agreements to secure profitable deals.
- Track shipment performance and address client issues quickly to maintain service quality.
- Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure seamless cargo handling and timely delivery.
- Stay updated on industry movements, regulatory changes, and emerging market opportunities.
- Provide business insights that support improved sales strategies and operational enhancements.
- Prepare regular sales reports, including forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics.
- Analyze market data to uncover risks, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
- Work with HQ pricing, revenue, and support teams for special pricing requests and ad hoc requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related fields (preferred but not mandatory).
- 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally with successful sales performance in airline or freight forwarding companies.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Strong understanding of airline cargo operations and logistics processes (aviation experience is a plus).
- Excellent skills in communication, client presentations, and negotiation.
- Highly driven, proactive, and capable of managing work independently.
- Collaborative and goal-oriented with a strong sales and customer relationship mindset.
- Proficient with MS Office tools and other business applications.
