Supervisor, FCL Freight Forwarder, Sea Export

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sea Export team, ensuring efficient workload management, compliance with operational standards, and achievement of departmental objectives.
• Drive operational excellence by maintaining high productivity levels, ensuring service quality, meeting customer requirements, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and process control.
• Champion continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives in collaboration with     BCM and Operations Process teams, supporting Sea Freight senior management in achieving business objectives, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and service innovation.
• Monitor team performance against established KPIs, implement corrective actions when needed, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous development.
• Ensure adherence to DSV operational procedures, customer SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards while minimizing operational risks and service disruptions.
• Supervise Freight Forwarder staff and ensure all shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company standards.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide effective logistics solutions.
• Ensure proper coordination and smooth execution of all export shipments.
• Monitor and ensure timely submission of operational and customer-required reports.
• Coordinate with DSV offices and stakeholders on account-specific requirements and shipment instructions.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct customer visits and business reviews as required to strengthen customer relationships.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence within the department.
• Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of at least a 4-year course
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Operational industry experience in similar capacity (minimum 1 year)
• Preferably with working experience in a multinational freight forwarder
• Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements in terms of information flow, transportation, warehousing and logistics.
• Excellent knowledge of Seafreight forwarding operations
• Operational know-how (Customer Service, Document Processing, Customs Clearance Export)
• Effective business administration competence
• Knowledge/experience in use of Cargowise system an advantage
