Integration & Project Management Lead

The Integration & Project Management Lead will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Merger & Acquisition (M&A) integration initiatives , with a particular focus on organizations supporting healthcare operations, healthcare services, healthcare BPO, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), payer, provider, or clinical accounts.

This role is responsible for managing the integration of an acquired or merged company into the parent organization, ensuring a seamless transition of people, processes, technology, systems, clients, operations, and governance structures .

The Director will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute integration strategies, manage project workstreams, identify risks, resolve critical issues, and ensure that business operations continue with minimal disruption throughout the transition.

Key Responsibilities

1. M&A Integration Leadership

• Lead end-to-end post-merger and acquisition integration activities from transaction close through stabilization and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive integration strategies, roadmaps, governance structures, and implementation plans.
• Manage the transition of the acquired or merged organization into the parent company's operating model.
• Coordinate the integration of business functions, including Operations, Healthcare Services, Technology, HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Quality, and other support functions.
• Establish integration priorities, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success measures.
• Ensure alignment between executive leadership, functional leaders, and project teams throughout the integration lifecycle.

2. Integration Program & Project Management

• Establish and oversee multiple integration workstreams and large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Develop detailed project plans, implementation roadmaps, milestone trackers, RAID logs, and executive dashboards.
• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress across all integration workstreams and ensure timely resolution of issues and roadblocks.
• Establish clear governance, accountability, escalation, and decision-making processes.
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to executive leadership and steering committees.
• Ensure successful completion of integration milestones and overall program objectives.

3. Healthcare Operations Integration

• Lead integration initiatives involving healthcare accounts, healthcare operations, clinical services, RCM, payer, provider, or healthcare BPO processes.
• Assess operational structures and identify opportunities to align, consolidate, standardize, or optimize healthcare processes.
• Support the transition and integration of healthcare clients and accounts while minimizing disruption to service delivery.
• Partner with operational and clinical leaders to maintain quality, productivity, compliance, and client commitments throughout the transition.
• Identify operational gaps, process differences, system dependencies, and resource requirements between merging organizations.
• Develop transition and stabilization plans for healthcare operations and client services.

4. Organizational & Workforce Integration

• Partner with HR and business leaders to support organizational structure design and workforce integration.
• Coordinate activities related to organizational changes, leadership alignment, role mapping, workforce planning, and transition of employees.
• Support communication and change management initiatives throughout the integration process.
• Identify potential workforce, capability, and operational risks associated with the merger or acquisition.
• Ensure appropriate transition plans are implemented to support employee engagement and business continuity.

5. Technology & Systems Integration

• Partner with Technology and Business teams to oversee the integration, migration, consolidation, or retirement of systems and platforms.
• Identify critical technology dependencies and integration risks.
• Support the transition of business applications, operational platforms, reporting tools, and data management processes.
• Coordinate system implementation and migration activities to minimize disruption to healthcare operations and client services.
• Monitor technology readiness and support post-go-live stabilization activities.

6. Client & Business Continuity Management

• Develop integration plans that protect client relationships and ensure continuity of service delivery.
• Partner with client-facing leaders to manage communication and transition activities.
• Identify potential client, operational, financial, or service delivery risks resulting from the integration.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize business disruption.
• Monitor post-integration performance, client satisfaction, and operational stability.

7. Change Management & Communication

• Develop and implement comprehensive change management and communication strategies.
• Assess the impact of organizational and operational changes on employees, leaders, clients, and stakeholders.
• Develop stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and readiness plans.
• Drive adoption of new processes, systems, organizational structures, and operating models.
• Support leadership teams in managing resistance and maintaining employee engagement throughout the transition.

8. Risk Management & Governance

• Identify, assess, and manage integration risks across operational, financial, technology, workforce, client, and compliance areas.
• Maintain enterprise-level risk and issue logs and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are implemented.
• Establish governance structures, including Steering Committees, Integration Management Offices, and workstream meetings.
• Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical integration issues.
• Monitor integration performance and provide executive-level reporting and recommendations.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA, Master's degree, MHA, or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in project management, program management, business transformation, operations, integration, or corporate strategy.
• At least 5–7 years of leadership experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects or transformation programs.
• Proven experience leading or supporting post-merger integration, acquisitions, corporate transitions, business consolidations, or large-scale organizational transformation .
• Strong experience managing multiple workstreams across Operations, Technology, HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other corporate functions.
• Experience supporting healthcare accounts, healthcare operations, healthcare BPO, RCM, payer, provider, or clinical services is highly preferred.
• Experience working with executive leadership and managing complex stakeholder environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage enterprise-level projects with significant operational, financial, and organizational impact.
