Senior Business Support Associate (Accounting, Investment Reporting, and Data Analytics)

About the Role:

We are seeking an accountant with strong financial, investment reporting, and data analytics capabilities to support portfolio reporting, dashboard development, and client insights. The role is responsible for maintaining investment data integrity, producing high-quality client reporting, and delivering actionable portfolio insights through dashboards and analytics.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with financial databases, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools. Experience with hedge funds, private equity, trusts, family offices, investment management, or fund administration is highly desirable. Candidates with strong accounting and analytical skills who are willing to learn and undergo specialized training are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Reporting & Data Management

• Maintain the architecture and integrity of investment data feeds, ensuring all accounts are properly linked, mapped, and named.

• Coordinate with trustees, internal stakeholders, and external platforms to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.

• Upload and maintain private investment positions and related records.

• Perform monthly reviews of asset classifications and escalate exceptions requiring further analysis and resolution.

• Create and maintain tables, schedules, and support analyses for quarterly client reports.

• Organize and maintain client documentation repositories, ensuring records are complete, current, and readily accessible.

• Follow up internally to obtain missing documentation and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

2. Portfolio Analytics & Research

• Conduct monthly reviews of portfolios to identify non-transparent instruments requiring look-through analysis.

• Source investment factsheets and look-through holdings data from Bloomberg, Reuters, Morningstar, and other relevant platforms.

• Maintain a knowledge database of investment factsheets, classifications, and portfolio look-through information.

• Enrich and validate portfolio data using financial market data sources such as Bloomberg and Reuters.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across reporting systems and client deliverables.

3. Dashboard Development & Client Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain investment and portfolio dashboards for clients and relationship managers.

• Produce weekly dashboard reports highlighting: Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) adherence, portfolio exposures and positioning, actions taken by investment managers, and key portfolio developments, risks, and exceptions.

• Translate complex financial and portfolio data into clear, meaningful insights and visualizations.

• Identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.

• Develop automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

4. Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial and investment reporting data.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities.

• Perform reconciliations and validate financial information across reporting platforms.

• Assist with audit requests, working papers, and supporting documentation.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and client-specific reporting requirements.

5. Process Improvement & Technology

• Leverage reporting technologies and analytical tools to streamline processes and enhance reporting quality.

• Participate in process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.

• Recommend enhancements to data governance, reporting frameworks, and client reporting processes.

• Stay current with emerging reporting technologies, data analytics tools, and industry best practices.

Job Requirements:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Experience in accounting, financial reporting, investment reporting, fund administration, or financial analytics.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data analysis functions.

• Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Experience with hedge funds, private equity, trusts, family offices, wealth management, or investment operations.

• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, Morningstar, FactSet, or similar financial market data platforms.

• Understanding of portfolio reporting, investment performance measurement, and asset classification methodologies.

• Experience working with international clients and investment structures.

• CPA qualification is an advantage but not required.
