1. Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
- Perform structured risk assessments and recommend control measures.
- Document hazards and track corrective actions.
2. Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, ISO 45001, or OHS Act requirements.
- Maintain safety files, permits, and training records.
- Prepare for regulatory audits and inspections.
3. Safety Policies & Procedures
- Develop, implement, and update safety programs (e.g., IIPP, emergency response plans).
- Verify signage, exit routes, and safety equipment accessibility.
4. Incident Investigation
- Investigate accidents, near‑misses, and property damage.
- Determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Report serious incidents to authorities when required.
5. Training & Safety Promotion
- Conduct employee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher training.
- Lead safety drills (fire, chemical spill, first aid).
- Promote safety culture through campaigns and communication.
6. Record Keeping
- Maintain logs of incidents, inspections, training, and audits.
- Manage OSHA 300 logs and required regulatory submissions.
