Associate Manager - PR, Social Media, and Influencer Marketing

Public Relations (PR):

• Support the development and implementation of PR strategies to amplify ZALORA’s brand and campaigns across earned and owned media channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with fashion, lifestyle, and business media to secure coverage and support storytelling initiatives.
• Assist in the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
• Monitor media coverage and manage PR reports, providing insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
• Support the planning and execution of brand events, media briefings, and press launches.

Influencer Marketing:

• Identify, engage, and manage relationships with influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors to drive authentic brand advocacy.
• Collaborate with influencers to co-create content that aligns with ZALORA’s brand identity and campaign objectives.
• Track and analyze influencer campaign performance, optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights.
• Support the evolution of ZALORA’s influencer marketing strategy to adapt to market trends and maximize ROI.

Social Media Management:

• Develop and execute social media strategies that align with marketing objectives and brand positioning.
• Plan, schedule, and publish visually compelling content (videos, photos, graphics) across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
• Collaborate with creative, marketing, and PR teams to ensure content consistency and alignment with seasonal campaigns.
• Monitor social media channels, engage with the community, and manage user-generated content to foster brand loyalty.
• Analyze social media metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) and prepare regular performance reports with actionable recommendations.

Campaign & Content Production:

• Lead the ideation and execution of integrated PR, influencer, and social media campaigns that drive engagement and brand visibility.
• Oversee the content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery in coordination with marketing, commercial, and revenue teams.
• Experiment with new content formats and storytelling techniques to keep ZALORA’s social presence fresh and innovative.
• Integrate sustainability and brand purpose messaging into campaigns where relevant.

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Liaise with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Commercial, Revenue, Regional, Creative) to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign alignment.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and vendors as needed.

Rationale for Hiring an Associate Manager for PR, Social Media, and Influencer Marketing

1) Strategic continuity and internal talent development

Following the departure of the PRSM Manager in September 2025, a direct Manager replacement was not immediately pursued as Daniella Calalang had already demonstrated strong potential within the team over the past three years. The decision was made to continue developing her capabilities and prepare her for a managerial role, which led to her promotion in April 2026. Unfortunately, she decided to take a different direction.

2) Need for a more experienced support layer

As the PRSM function in the Philippines continues to evolve, there is a clear need for an Associate Manager who can operate with greater independence, require less day-to-day guidance, and provide stronger executional support.

3) Support for team leadership and capability building

The Associate Manager role will help strengthen the team’s overall capacity by providing additional leadership support, helping manage workflows, and ensuring that daily PR, influencer, and social media requirements are handled efficiently.

4) Enhanced ideation and brand pitch development

The role will contribute to strategic ideation for ZAP brand pitches, helping build stronger proposals, creative concepts, and campaign opportunities that support business growth and partner engagement.

5) Stronger event production and campaign execution

Beyond daily influencer and social media responsibilities, the Associate Manager will support the planning and production of events, ensuring smooth execution across brand activations, community initiatives, and campaign launches.

6) Operational efficiency and reduced dependency

Hiring an Associate Manager ensures the team gains someone with the experience and maturity to manage multiple priorities, make informed decisions, and reduce the level of handholding required from leadership.

7) Scalable structure for future growth

This role will help create a stronger team foundation, allowing the PRSM function in the Philippines to scale more effectively while balancing strategic planning, partner management, event execution, and day-to-day operations.
