Business Development Manager

About the role
The Business Development Manager will study industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to spot new business openings. This role involves finding and nurturing new clients through networking, cold outreach, and industry events, while building and managing relationships with strategic partners, vendors, or distributors. You will create tailored business proposals, pitch decks, and RFPs, negotiate commercial terms and pricing structures, and work closely with sales, marketing, product, and finance teams to align growth plans with company capabilities. You will also track sales metrics, manage CRM databases, and report progress to executive leadership.
Key responsibilities
Study industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to spot new business openings
Find and nurture new clients through networking, cold outreach, and industry events
Build and manage relationships with strategic partners, vendors, or distributors
Create tailored business proposals, pitch decks, and RFPs (Requests for Proposal)
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and service level agreements with stakeholders
Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and finance teams to align growth plans with company capabilities
Track sales metrics, manage CRM databases (such as Salesforce), and report progress to executive leadership
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
Typically 2 to 5 years of proven experience in sales, account management, or business development
Strong communication and public presentation skills
Strategic and analytical thinking
Negotiation and deal-closing capability
Relationship-building and emotional intelligence
Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), and market research platforms
