Construction / Procurement Engineer

- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Review technical specifications and ensure purchased materials meet project requirements.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, inquiries, and requests for quotations (RFQs).
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and finance teams to align procurement with project schedules and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier databases, and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Track and report procurement progress to management.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and process improvements in the supply chain.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineer.
- Experience in procurement within construction company.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of procurement software/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
