The Operations Manager for Customs Brokerage is responsible for overseeing daily brokerage operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and managing the efficient processing of import and export shipments. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating with government agencies, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee end-to-end customs clearance operations
- Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations
- Supervise and support brokerage team performance
- Coordinate with clients, carriers, and government agencies
- Monitor shipment timelines and resolve operational issues
- Ensure accuracy of documentation and tariff classifications
- Prepare reports and improve operational processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, or related field
- Licensed Customs Broker is an advantage
- Proven experience in customs brokerage or logistics operations
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of customs laws and procedures
