Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods. This role supervises warehouse personnel, maintains inventory accuracy, ensures compliance with safety standards, and supports the timely fulfillment of operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel to ensure productivity and compliance with company policies.
- Plan and assign work schedules to meet operational demands.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of inventory.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, and other departments regarding stock movements and deliveries.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Prepare and submit warehouse performance and inventory reports.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in warehouse operations,
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse procedures.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work onsite and render overtime when operationally required.
