A Sewing Operator operates industrial sewing machines to produce or repair garments, textiles, or upholstery. They ensure high-quality stitching, maintain equipment, and follow production patterns or specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate sewing machines to join, reinforce, or decorate materials.
- Read and follow patterns, designs, or instructions.
- Inspect finished products for quality and correct errors.
- Perform basic machine maintenance, such as threading and oiling.
- Meet production deadlines while adhering to safety standards.
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines (lockstitch, overlock, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret patterns or specifications.
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Basic mechanical skills for machine adjustments.
- Prior experience in a similar role (preferred).
