About the role
Top Manning Services Corporation is seeking a dedicated and skilled General Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis in Sapang Balen, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of plant and machinery used across our construction operations. As a General Mechanic, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity on our job sites. This position is essential to our operations, as reliable equipment maintenance directly impacts project timelines and overall business success.Key responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on construction plant and machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
Diagnose mechanical faults and defects using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment
Repair and replace damaged or worn components, including engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and structural parts
Service machinery according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs completed, and parts used
Identify potential equipment issues before they become critical problems and recommend preventative maintenance measures
Collaborate with site supervisors and equipment operators to understand operational challenges and address machinery concerns promptly
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area, managing tools and equipment responsibly
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a General Mechanic or similar role within the construction or plant and machinery sector
Strong technical knowledge of diesel and petrol engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components
Competency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance schedules
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to plant and machinery operations
Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues accurately
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Physical fitness and ability to work in varied weather conditions and challenging environments
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different job sites as required
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in mechanical maintenance (preferred but not essential)
