About the Role

EmergeTech is seeking a high-caliber Executive Search Business Development & Account Manager to expand our global C-suite and leadership hiring practice. This is an end-to-end, full-desk role designed for a consultative strategist who excels at prospecting decision-makers, securing executive search mandates, and overseeing discrete, high-touch delivery for critical leadership hires.

In Executive Search, trust and precision are everything. You will own the full client lifecycle from initial outreach to board-level decision-makers and contract negotiation, to overseeing executive candidate delivery and managing long-term key account relationships. You are a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders, accountable for placing transformational talent under our search guarantees.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1: Business Development & Mandate Acquisition

• Execute targeted, high-touch outreach campaigns to C-Suite, Board Members, and Founders within target growth industries.
• Lead strategic discovery sessions to understand organizational gaps, presenting tailored Executive Search models (Retained, Container, or Exclusive Contingency).
• Own contract execution, negotiating search terms, retainer structures, and fee agreements with senior client stakeholders.

Phase 2: Executive Search Management & Client Engagement

• Conduct deep-dive intake sessions with client boards and executive teams to establish search parameters, competencies, and candidate profiles.
• Direct and oversee in-house research and headhunting teams on market mapping, discrete outreach, and passive candidate engagement.
• Ensure all presented leaders have cleared rigorous executive assessments, leadership evaluations, and background validations before submitting high-conviction shortlists.
• Guide client leadership through interview feedback loops, manage complex executive compensation negotiations, and drive search completion.

Phase 3: Account Farming & Strategic Partnership

• Build long-term advisory relationships with clients to secure repeat executive search mandates and build-out secondary leadership tiers.
• Conduct structured onboarding check-ins with placed executives and client boards during the first 6–12 months to guarantee long-term retention and alignment.
• Provide C-suite clients with strategic insights into executive compensation benchmarks, talent availability, and succession planning.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of end-to-end Executive Search or Senior Retained Recruitment experience, managing both client acquisition and search delivery.
• Proven Track Record in BD: Demonstrated history of acquiring new client accounts and securing senior leadership/executive search mandates.
• Gravitas & Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging directly with CEOs, Founders, and Board Members.
• Market Awareness: Solid understanding of executive talent landscapes, executive compensation frameworks, and market-mapping practices.
• End-to-End Execution: Ability to seamlessly bridge business development, high-touch client management, and search execution.
