Manager/Sr Manager Biostatistics & Programming

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Sr. Manager of Programming to lead a biostatistics and programming team supporting clinical trials globally. This role combines team management, client relationship oversight, and direct contribution to statistical programming strategies across clinical study portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Manage programming team including hiring, professional development, performance management, and coaching
- Oversee bioinformatics programming aspects of clinical trials from design through analysis and reporting
- Represent department to clients on study matters, bid defenses, and regulatory submissions
- Create and maintain statistical programs for report generation and program validation
- Lead process improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental policies and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field with 7+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field plus 9+ years relevant experience as acceptable alternative
- Preferred: 8+ years clinical trial statistical programming experience and 2+ years leadership experience
- Advanced SAS programming skills and understanding of database structures
- Proven management capabilities including staff development, motivation, and performance oversight
- In-depth knowledge of clinical trial processes, project budgeting, and regulatory submission requirements
- Proficiency in English and strong written and verbal communication skills
