Sr. Project Management Officer - Banking

We are looking for an experienced Project Management Officer (PMO) to support and drive a major digital transformation program in the banking sector. This role requires strong leadership in project governance, centralized program support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure complex initiatives are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee governance frameworks, processes, and escalation paths across large-scale projects.
- Define and track KPIs and performance metrics to monitor program execution.
- Provide centralized support for project teams, offering tools, templates, and guidance on best practices.
- Partner with senior leadership and delivery managers to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Deliver comprehensive reports on project status, risks, and milestones to executives and stakeholders.
- Lead effective stakeholder communication to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project performance and recommending enhancements.
- Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen project management capability across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least 5 years of direct Project Management experience leading teams in the banking, financial services, or insurance industries.
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
- Proven experience managing PMO functions for enterprise-level or complex programs.
- Expertise in governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience with multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Iterative).
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise-scale application or digital transformation projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
