General Accounting Specialist

The General Accounting Specialist handles day-to-day accounting and financial reporting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. This role supports month-end closings, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and review journal entries, adjustments, and accruals.
- Maintain general ledger schedules, supporting documentation, and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor intercompany transactions and reconcile balances.
- Support fixed assets accounting, depreciation, and inventory adjustments.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Coordinate with AP, AR, and Payroll teams to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field.
- 2–3 years in general accounting or audit; fresh graduates with strong academics considered.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and Excel skills
- Familiarity with accounting systems (SAP or similar is a plus)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
- Good time management, organizational skills, and teamwork
- Integrity, accountability, and proactive mindset
