Job description:
An Accounting Specialist is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role combines accounting expertise with analytical skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide insights into business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and trends to support business decisions
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance and accounting standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot, tables, formulas)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
