Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Receiving and Stocking: Unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, check against invoices, and safely transport items to storage areas.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular, accurate inventory counts and inventory controls to maintain high-quality standards for audits.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment according to schedules.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse, stockroom, and work areas clean, organized, and safe to maximize space utilization.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners.
- Reporting: Document and report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors. Workable
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is typically required.
- Experience: At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or retail.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy objects (often 50+ lbs), stand for long periods, and perform manual labor.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use inventory software or handheld scanners.
