Content Writer (Link Building)

We’re seeking a creative and detail-driven Journalist Assistant to craft compelling, tabloid-ready press releases and manage targeted outreach to journalists. Your work will amplify client visibility by transforming their expertise into newsworthy stories that journalists can publish with minimal effort. This role requires sharp writing skills, a pulse on media trends, and the ability to tailor content for bulk or niche audiences.
Press Release Development
- Write polished, ready-to-publish articles using client expertise, ensuring alignment with tabloid-style hooks and formats.
- Craft headlines and angles that promise a gain (“Expert Reveals How to…”) or warn against a pain (“Avoid Costly Mistakes…”).
- Incorporate client quotes, data, and industry insights to bolster credibility.
Media Outreach
- Choose between Bulk or Tailored approaches based on campaign goals.
- Segment journalist lists by topic (e.g., personal finance, regional news, lifestyle hacks) for targeted distribution.
Client-Journalist Alignment
- Review client briefs to identify expertise that matches journalist beats or bulk topic lists (e.g., Royals, Money-Saving, Health).
- Ensure content adheres to client brand guidelines, compliance standards, and factual accuracy.
Campaign Execution & Tracking
- Distribute press releases via email tools, draft follow-ups, and monitor responses.
- Track media placements and adjust pitches based on performance.
- Ability to write concise, click-worthy stories.
- Quickly identify journalist interests and client expertise alignment.
- Experience with outreach platforms and basic CRM tools.
- Fact-checking rigor and adherence to client guidelines.
- Juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
