Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our esteemed maritime organization. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality goods and services essential for our maritime operations. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's maritime objectives.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify the best sources of goods and services.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in maritime procurement regulations to advise management accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, maritime studies, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of procurement experience within the maritime or shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, international trade laws, and shipping logistics.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
