SITE ENGINEER

About the role

FREDMARK BUILDERS AND TRADING is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join our team in San Fernando, Pampanga. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of construction activities on-site, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules. This role is essential to maintaining project quality, safety compliance, and timely delivery whilst managing relationships with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise all construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and relevant building codes and regulations

• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on progress, quality of work, and any issues or deviations from the project plan

• Liaise with project management, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and implement corrective measures

• Manage and verify materials testing, quality control procedures, and the timely submission of test certificates and compliance documentation

• Coordinate with health and safety personnel to ensure all site operations meet safety standards and regulatory requirements

• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress photographs, and as-built documentation

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of construction activities and resource allocation

• Identify potential risks and recommend preventative measures to ensure project success

• Support the project team with cost control, variations management, and claims documentation as required

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding site progress, challenges, and project milestones

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent qualification

• Minimum 3-5 years of on-site experience in construction project management or site engineering

• Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, and construction processes relevant to the local industry

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specifications

• Strong understanding of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards in construction

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with construction management software is advantageous

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality and safety

• Problem-solving ability and willingness to take initiative in resolving site-related issues

• Valid driver's license is preferred
