SITE MARSHALL

About the role

The Site Marshall is responsible for assisting in the coordination, monitoring, and control of construction site activities at a solar power plant project. The role helps ensure the safe movement of workers, vehicles, and heavy equipment, maintains order within the worksite, and supports compliance with project safety procedures and site regulations. The Site Marshall coordinates with site supervisors, engineers, safety officers, and construction personnel to promote a safe and organized working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control the movement of vehicles, delivery trucks, and heavy equipment within the construction site.

• Guide drivers and equipment operators during entry, exit, reversing, loading, and unloading activities.

• Assist in directing workers and visitors to designated areas and access points.

• Ensure that site personnel follow established traffic management plans and site safety procedures.

• Monitor work areas to help prevent congestion, unauthorized access, and unsafe activities.

• Assist in maintaining proper access routes for construction vehicles and emergency response teams.

• Coordinate with site supervisors, safety officers, and security personnel regarding site conditions and potential hazards.

• Use hand signals, radios, or other communication devices to direct vehicle and equipment movements safely.

• Report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and violations of site rules to the immediate supervisor.

• Help maintain orderly work areas, pedestrian pathways, and vehicle routes.

About you

• At least a high school graduate or equivalent.

• Experience as a Site Marshall, Traffic Marshall, Construction Worker, or in a similar construction site role is preferred.

• Knowledge of basic construction site safety rules and traffic management procedures is an advantage.

• Familiarity with hand signals for guiding trucks and heavy equipment is preferred.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods.

• Alert, responsible, disciplined, and attentive to detail.

• Willing to work at a solar power plant construction site, including remote or outdoor locations.

• Willing to work overtime or shifting schedules when required by the project.
