- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist with any questions or issues related to purchases.
- Transaction Handling: Operate the cash register or POS (Point of Sale) system, process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
- Product Scanning and Price Checking: Scan items quickly and ensure pricing is correct, making adjustments as necessary.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is often preferred, but on-the-job training may be provided.
