- Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly service
- Scan, bag, and process purchases or services
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and digital payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges when necessary
- Maintain accurate cash register balances and perform end-of-shift reconciliations
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information on products, promotions, or store policies
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required)
- Experience: Prior experience in retail, customer service, or cashiering is a plus but not always required
- Skills:
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift light items if needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
