Accounting Officer maintains accurate financial records, prepares financial reports, monitors budgets, and ensures compliance with tax laws and regulations. They handle daily bookkeeping, invoices, payments, and reconciliations, acting as a crucial support role within the finance department to facilitate accurate, timely financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and review general ledgers, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Bookkeeping & Transactions: Process invoices, record payments, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to tax laws (e.g., BIR filings in the Philippines) and prepare monthly/annual financial reports.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Monitor company expenditures against budgets and analyze financial data for management.
- Reconciliation & Audits: Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and support internal/external audit requirements.
- Payroll & Admin: Assist with payroll administration and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data.
