Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items while providing excellent customer service. The role ensures adherence to product standards, cleanliness, food safety, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards.
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
- Recommend products and upsell menu items when appropriate.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café, workstations, and dining areas.
- Monitor and replenish supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other materials.
- Ensure proper food handling, safety, and hygiene practices at all times.
- Handle cash, process payments, and reconcile transactions accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries following FIFO principles.
- Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support store operations to achieve sales, quality, and service targets.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, or College Level.
- Experience as a Barista or in food service is an advantage.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
- Honest, reliable, and team-oriented.
