Data & AI Architect / Domain Lead - Presales & Delivery

Capability Requirements

The Data & AI Architect / Domain Lead – Presales & Delivery is a senior, hands-on Data, Analytics and AI subject matter expert responsible for shaping, architecting, presenting and supporting the delivery of Data & AI solutions across client engagements.

The role combines enterprise architecture, technical consulting, presales, solutioning and delivery leadership, requiring the individual to personally develop architectures, solution designs, proposals, estimates, technical responses and executive-level client deliverables.

The role is expected to operate as the Data & AI domain lead/SME, translating business and technology requirements into practical target-state architectures and implementation roadmaps while providing sufficient technical depth to challenge and guide Data Engineering, AI/ML, Analytics and engineering teams.

The role requires strong client-facing capability, including engagement with C-suite and senior technology stakeholders, and the ability to independently lead presentations, workshops, solution discussions and technical negotiations. The incumbent should demonstrate a proven track record of personally shaping Data & AI opportunities and contributing to measurable revenue generation or sales closure.

The position is not primarily a people-management, project-management or high-level advisory role. It requires an individual who can personally architect, solution, write, present and support delivery while contributing to the growth of Data & AI services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end Data & AI architecture and solution design, translating business requirements into target-state architectures, solution components and implementation roadmaps.
• Develop enterprise architectures across relevant TOGAF architecture layers/views and define integration, data, application and technology architecture.
• Lead Data & AI presales opportunities, including discovery, solutioning, proposal development, estimation, presentations and technical responses.
• Personally develop high-quality architecture diagrams, proposals, executive presentations, estimates and client deliverables.
• Engage with C-suite and senior client stakeholders, leading workshops, presentations and technical discussions.
• Provide technical direction and challenge Data Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science and engineering teams.
• Support transition from presales into delivery and provide architecture governance and technical oversight throughout implementation.
• Identify and shape new Data & AI opportunities and demonstrate measurable contribution to revenue won or influenced.
• Act as the Data & AI domain SME/lead across both presales and delivery engagements.

Job Specifications

• Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Information Systems or a related discipline.
• A Master's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline is advantageous.
• TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in Cloud, Data, AI/ML or major technology platforms are advantageous.

Related Work Experience

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Engineering and/or related technology consulting.
• Proven experience in enterprise architecture and hands-on technical solution design.
• Prior experience with a Big 4 or comparable Tier-1 consulting firm is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in a client-facing Data & AI leadership, architecture or SME capacity.
• Proven experience leading or materially contributing to Data Engineering and/or AI/ML solutions.
• Demonstrated experience across both presales and project delivery environments.
• Proven track record of personally shaping, solutioning and supporting Data & AI opportunities through to closure.
• Experience demonstrating quantifiable revenue won, influenced or generated through presales activities is highly preferred.
• Experience engaging with C-suite and senior client stakeholders is required.
