About the role

8Sphere Distribution Corp. is seeking a Sales Agent/Public Market Specialist to join our dynamic retail team in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving sales and building relationships with customers in the public market environment. As a Sales Agent/Public Market Specialist, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for engaging customers, promoting our products, and achieving sales targets whilst maintaining excellent service standards. This role is essential to our growth strategy and directly impacts our market presence and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers in the public market setting to promote and sell products effectively

• Build and maintain strong relationships with regular and new customers to encourage repeat business

• Provide product information and recommendations to customers, addressing their needs and concerns

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets whilst maintaining a high level of customer service

• Display and arrange products attractively to maximise visibility and appeal to customers

• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper records of all sales

• Identify customer preferences and market trends to inform inventory and sales strategies

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales area and product displays

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

• Report sales performance and customer feedback to management regularly

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Sales Agent, Retail Assistant or similar customer-facing role, preferably in a public market or retail environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and professionally

• Excellent numeracy skills and experience handling cash transactions accurately

• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with team members

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and manage the demands of a market-based environment

• Reliability and strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and consistency

• Knowledge of local market dynamics and customer preferences in Dagupan City and the surrounding area is advantageous

• Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands and market conditions

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Willingness to learn about product features and company policies
