Product Illustrator

Navy Peony is a vibrant stationery travel brand born from the creative spirit of Southeast Asia. Since 2018, we’ve been crafting expressive, design-forward products that empower people to preserve memories of their life journeys.

We’re looking for a talented Illustrator with a passion for travel, illustration, and design. This is a full-time remote position where you will collaborate with a passionate, cross-functional team across Southeast Asia. You’ll be at the heart of our product design process—conceptualizing, illustrating, and crafting impactful designs that resonate with our customers around the world. This role is ideal for someone who can capture the unique charm and character of a destination and translate it into beautiful, memory-worthy illustrations that stay true to the brand’s style.

• Conceptualize and design original stationery and lifestyle products that reflect Navy Peony’s aesthetic and brand identity.
• Create original illustrations of destinations, landmarks, architecture, food, and cultural motifs in Navy Peony’s house style.
• Research design trends and market opportunities to inform product concepts and keep our designs fresh and relevant.
• Translate creative briefs into product designs by developing concepts, artwork, and initial digital mockups.
• Collaborate with the product manager to refine concepts and ensure designs align with brand and business objectives.
• Prepare final artwork and production-ready files according to print and digital specifications.
• Review customer feedback and product performance to inform future design decisions and improve our creative direction.
• Maintain visual consistency across product designs while exploring new creative approaches and illustration techniques.
• Commit to deep, continuous learning to elevate your artistic skills and quality of work

• Strong digital illustration skills, with demonstrated ability to draw places, buildings, and objects from reference in a consistent, simplified style.
• A keen eye for color harmony, balanced composition, clean silhouettes, and visual storytelling.
• The ability to interpret creative briefs and independently deliver polished artwork to strict production standards.
• A portfolio showing illustration of real places or landmarks in a consistent style, ideally including artwork made for physical products.
• High proficiency in working in both Photoshop/Procreate and Illustrator and producing artwork that reproduces cleanly in print across a range of product sizes.
• Strong commitment to deep and continuous learning.
• Strong command of English and great communication skills.
• Consistently meets deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
• Adaptable and versatile to work in various design styles and project requirements.
• A deep appreciation for meaningful, beautiful stationery, and lifestyle design.

• 5+ years of proven experience in illustration, surface design, commercial graphic design, or a related creative field.
• Demonstrated experience building brand assets, visual identity systems, or cohesive product branding.
• A sharp understanding of retail design trends and the ability to translate market inspiration into commercially successful products.
• Familiarity with print manufacturing setups including CMYK limitations, vector dielines, kiss-cut sheet layouts, or finishes like foil stamping and spot UV.
• Hand-lettering ability for occasional titling and typographic elements.
• Experience illustrating for stickers, stationery, or licensed/travel merchandise.
