Accounts Payable Specialist (Independent Contractor - Night Shift, Philippines)

CAGs & Co is partnering with a U.S.-based, family-owned company to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist who will support their accounting operations.

This role will be engaged as an independent contractor through CAG-S & Co, working closely with the client's internal finance team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor transactions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Setup

• Location: Philippines (100% Remote)
• Schedule: Night Shift (aligned with U.S. Central Time business hours)
• Engagement: Independent Contractor (via CAG-S & Co)
• Compensation: Competitive monthly rate (PHP), based on experience

What You’ll Be Doing

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records and documentation
• Prepare and execute payment runs (checks, ACH, wires, etc.)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment status and issues
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 2–4 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume environment is a plus
• US accounting experience is highly preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proactive and responsive in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills

• Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms
• Proficiency in Excel (basic to intermediate level)
• Familiarity with U.S. accounting practices is a plus
