Warehouse and Logistics Manager

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing supply planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, distribution, and transportation activities to ensure the timely and efficient movement of products. The role works closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other departments to optimize inventory levels, improve supply chain processes, maintain logistics standards, and support overall business operations. Responsibilities: Supply Chain and Inventory Management

• Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to develop supply plans and implement proactive inventory strategies to meet demand requirements.
• Plan and coordinate the movement of products, including live hogs, eggs, live poultry, and other products, based on sales forecasts and product availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to maintain an adequate supply of products.
• Audit warehouse inventory and reconcile stock levels against sales and production data.
• Prepare inventory reports and communicate key findings to warehouse management.

Warehouse and Logistics Operations

• Ensure compliance with established biosecurity protocols for all inbound and outbound warehouse transactions.
• Manage third-party warehouse operations, including cold chain and carcass storage, while monitoring inventory movement and storage activities.
• Develop and improve distribution and delivery processes to maximize available resources and meet customer requirements.
• Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures related to demand and supply planning activities.

Transportation and Fleet Management

• Monitor company and third-party vehicles to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, repairs, registration requirements, and company standards.
• Oversee trucking operations and evaluate logistics partners to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Process Improvement

• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and executive teams to support product development and new product launches.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and recommend best practices across supply chain and related business functions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain policies and operational procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, inventory control, distribution, and transportation management.
• Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Operations, Finance, Warehouse, and other cross-functional teams.
• Experience in cold chain logistics and trucking operations is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and conduct warehouse and field inspections when necessary.
