What does a/an Inside Sales and Sales Operation Support do?

This role is responsible for driving sales growth and managing assigned customer accounts through proactive inside sales activities. The role will own assigned sales targets, develop customer relationships, identify and progress sales opportunities, reactivate dormant accounts, and support account growth through regular customer engagement and sales analysis. The role works closely with Account Managers, Customer Service and Demand Planning to ensure customer needs are understood, sales opportunities are followed through, and forecasts support business and inventory planning.

• Own assigned customer accounts and sales targets/KPIs; drive year-on-year sales growth; develop strong customer relationships; identify opportunities to increase sales, introduce new products and expand share of wallet.
• Proactively contact customers through an agreed call cycle to understand needs, follow up opportunities and drive repeat purchases.
• Follow up on customer requirements and service-related matters and coordinate with the appropriate teams.
• Identify, qualify and follow up new sales opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Maintain accurate opportunity and pipeline information in CRM/C4C and progress opportunities through to closure in coordination with the Account Manager where required.
• Prepare standard quotations and simple price lists under agreed guidelines.
• Support preparation and administration of sales contracts, including equipment/FOL contracts and related documentation.
• Ensure commercial information is accurate and aligned with approved terms.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts for assigned accounts and work closely with the Demand Planner to align customer demand, forecast and inventory requirements.
• Highlight demand changes, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare regular sales reports and analysis to support account manager.
• Monitor sales performance against targets and identify gaps and opportunities.
• Provide customer, product and sales insights to support commercial decision-making.
• Conduct regular account reviews with the Account Manager covering sales performance, customer activity, opportunities and risks.
• Own agreed actions and follow up to completion.
• Work closely with Account Managers, Customer Service, Demand Planning, Finance and other functions to support customer and sales objectives.
• Escalate operational issues to the appropriate function while maintaining customer follow-up where appropriate.

What we are looking for in you?

Education & Training:

• Diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Qualifications in Business, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline are preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP and/or ERP systems is desirable.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, Account Management, Sales Support, or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, grow accounts, and identify sales opportunities.
• Experience in order management, quotations, complaint resolution, and sales support activities.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, packaging, or other B2B environments is advantage.

Working Hours & Shift Requirement:

• Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts to support Australia and New Zealand business hours.
• Shift schedules may include early morning or staggered hours depending on business needs.
• Flexibility during peak periods or month-end activities is required.
