Description - Review and analyze patient records to ensure accurate coding.
- Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures according to established coding guidelines.
- Perform regular audits to maintain coding accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding requirements.
- Stay updated on coding regulations and standards to ensure continued compliance.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field.
- Experience Level: 3-5 years in medical coding.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
- Qualities and Traits: Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
