About the role
Starts at 60 is Australia's home for people over 60: news and lifestyle, travel, insurance and member deals. We're looking for a Social Media Specialist to own social across all our brands and communities. This is a remote role based in the Philippines, working Australian business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Run social for Starts at 60, Travel at 60 and Travel Central
- Build one plan that grows every brand and introduces our audience to all of them
- Create short-form video and posts from our stories, getaways, events and offers
- Use AI tools to produce more, faster, while keeping our human voice
- Manage our Facebook groups and pages, and support our meet-up communities
- Deliver campaigns for advertisers and partners
- Track what drives members, bookings and leads, and do more of it
About you
- 4+ years running social for a media or multi-brand consumer business
- Proof that your social has driven sign-ups or sales
- Strong video skills, community management and comfort with paid social
- Excellent written English and a feel for Australian audiences
- Strong short-form video skills: shooting, editing and captioning on a phone
- Hands-on with Meta Business Suite, paid social and a scheduling tool
- Experience running large Facebook groups and communities
- Confident using AI tools for content, editing and reporting
- Comfortable with tracked links, UTM codes and basic analytics
- Reliable home office, backup internet and power, and availability across Australian business hours
