JOB SUMMARY
The Cabinet Fabricator / Installer is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, preparation, transportation, and installation of modular cabinets, custom cabinetry, and related interior furniture. The position ensures that cabinets are fabricated accurately according to approved shop drawings and specifications and are installed properly at project sites. The Cabinet Fabricator / Installer is expected to maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, safety, efficiency, and customer service throughout the fabrication and installation process.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Cabinet Fabrication- Read and interpret approved shop drawings, cutting lists, and fabrication instructions.
- Accurately measure, mark, and prepare cabinet components.
- Cut, drill, rout, edge-band, and assemble cabinet panels and components.
- Fabricate kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanities, storage units, office furniture, and other modular cabinetry.
- Assemble cabinet carcasses, doors, drawers, shelves, and accessories.
- Install cabinet hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, handles, locks, and other fittings.
- Check dimensions, alignment, squareness, and overall workmanship.
- Complete necessary adjustments and finishing prior to delivery.
- Prepare tools, materials, and equipment before mobilization to project sites.
- Position, level, align, and securely install cabinet units.
- Install doors, drawers, hardware, shelves, fillers, trims, toe kicks, panels, and other accessories.
- Perform necessary adjustments to ensure doors and drawers operate properly.
- Ensure cabinets are securely fixed and properly aligned.
- Conduct final inspection and touch-ups before project turnover.
- Clean the work area after installation.
- Coordinate with the Project Supervisor regarding daily installation activities.
- Follow site rules and instructions provided by the client, contractor, or site representative.
- Report site conditions that may affect installation.
- Immediately report discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions.
- Coordinate design or technical concerns with the Project Supervisor before making changes.
- Maintain professional conduct while working at customer locations.
- Inspect fabricated components before delivery.
- Verify dimensions and workmanship against approved drawings.
- Conduct quality checks during installation.
- Identify defective, damaged, or non-conforming materials.
- Report quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Correct minor defects when authorized.
- Minimize installation rework and ensure completed work meets company standards.
- Complete assigned fabrication and installation activities according to project schedules.
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality.
- Coordinate effectively with other fabricators and installers.
- Minimize material waste, rework, and unnecessary delays.
- Assist other team members when required to meet project deadlines.
