ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Video Editor to serve as the company’s dedicated in-house editing resource. You will create high-impact ads, reels, and occasional long-form content, primarily within the fitness and sports performance space. This role is ideal for a proactive all-round editor who can produce polished, engaging content with minimal supervision. This is a 100% remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Video Editing: Produce high-impact ads, reels, and other video content
• Long-Form Editing: Edit occasional longer-form content, including vlogs and episodic videos.
• Creative Storytelling: Select compelling footage and apply strong hooks, pacing, transitions, and sound design.
• Motion Graphics: Incorporate text animations, graphics, and visual effects where needed.
• Brand Alignment: Follow the brand’s visual style and translate creative direction into polished content.
• High-Volume Production: Manage varying output requirements, from multiple short-form pieces to longer weekly edits.
• Independent Execution: Own the editing process with minimal supervision and proactively manage priorities.
• Creative Collaboration: Work with the internal videographer and external agency, incorporating feedback and revisions.
• Platform Optimization: Adapt videos to the appropriate formats and specifications for ads and social media.
• Trend Awareness: Stay current with editing trends, particularly in fitness and sports performance content.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

• Proven experience editing high-impact ads, reels, and social media videos.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent editing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Ability to edit both short-form and longer-form content, including vlogs.
• Highly self-sufficient, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage varying content demands.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Motion graphics and animation experience.
• Interest in and understanding of fitness, sports, or performance content.
• Experience creating performance-focused video ads.
• Familiarity with CapCut and other social media editing tools.
