Job Overview

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional with a strong background in laboratory analysis?

United Graphic Expression Corporation (UGEC) is seeking a dynamic QA Supervisor to ensure the consistent execution and monitoring of our defined Quality Assurance Program. In this role, you will oversee raw materials supply, evaluate suppliers, and manage laboratory tools and equipment used for material verification to meet internal and external customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational QA & Material Management

• Establish acceptance sampling plans and acceptable quality levels for incoming raw materials.
• Review and approve material evaluation reports, analyze process performance, and manage non-conforming raw materials.
• Lead raw material analysis for alternative supply from laboratory scale to bigger batch trial runs to provide baseline data.
• Lead the physical, chemical, and functional analysis of Work-in-Progress (WIP) and finished goods.
• Monitor packaging safety compliance through certificates of compliance, chemical safety tests, and biological safety test frameworks.

2. Supplier Quality & Laboratory Management

• Establish close coordination with suppliers to push quality upstream and ensure the deployment of high-quality raw materials to production.
• Evaluate supplier quality performance and resolve quality deviations until full close.
• Establish programs and standards for the laboratory, managing the preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Review, maintain, and align laboratory test methods to international standards.

3. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Manage the performance of QA Analysts, assessing their training needs, and ensuring competency validation and calibration.
• Participate fully in the Internal Audit Team, GACCP Team, and EHS Committee.
• Participate in problem-solving and process improvement projects within the manufacturing environment.
• Assist in the overall planning and review of the Quality Assurance Program and fully support the achievement of QA Performance targets.

Job Qualifications

• Education: College Graduate of BS Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Science Courses provided with a strong background in laboratory analysis.
• Work Experience: None explicitly required, but strong relevant academic or laboratory background is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Laboratory Analysis and Quality Assurance, including instrumentation such as GC and Spectrophotometry.
• Computer Savvy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with hands-on experience in online systems.
• Ability to apply basic quality tools, statistical methods, and factual approaches to decision-making.
• Management Systems: Basic comprehension of Integrated Management Systems such as ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and other TQM disciplines.
• Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, good comprehension, and good interpersonal relationships.
