We are seeking a passionate, friendly, and energetic Barista to join our team. As the face of our café, you will welcome customers, take accurate orders, and craft exceptional hot and cold beverages. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers outstanding customer service, and shares a genuine love for tea and coffee community.
Key Responsibilities
Order Capture & Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, provide menu recommendations, take food and beverage orders accurately, and handle cash/POS transactions.
Drink Preparation: Grasp recipes quickly to prepare food and beverages according to company standards.
Operational Tasks: Dial in espresso grinders daily, operate commercial espresso machines, and maintain an optimal workflow during peak time.
Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and deeply sanitized workstation. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines regarding cross-contamination.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and pastries; restock the bar area as needed and report low inventory to the Supervisor.
Teamwork: Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and upbeat shift environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume café, restaurant, or customer service role is preferred (but we are willing to train the right person with great instincts!).
- Technical Coffee Knowledge: Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, brewing methods (e.g., pour-over, drip), and basic latte art is a major plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal communication, a warm personality, and strong multitasking abilities under pressure.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to [30] pounds for extended periods during a shift.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a shifting schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
