Telesales Associate – ALDI Merchant Acquisition

Job Summary

The Telesales Associate is responsible for contacting potential merchant partners, introducing Salmon Philippines’ financing solutions, and guiding business owners through the onboarding process. The role focuses on converting leads into accredited merchants by clearly communicating benefits, addressing objections, and assisting with application completion.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Sales Calls

• Initiate calls to store owners to introduce Salmon merchant partnership programs.

• Verify decision-makers and establish rapport professionally.

• Clearly communicate call purpose and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

Lead Engagement & Follow-ups

• Drive lead conversion through timely follow-ups on store visits and prior interactions.

• Initiate first-time outreach and introduce the offer to non-visited merchants.

• Identify concerns, handle objections, and apply a consultative approach to build trust and interest.

Product & Service Promotion

• Drive merchant acquisition and engagement through effective presentation of Salmon’s financing solutions.

• Highlight key value propositions: flexible payment options, fast payouts, zero hidden fees, and marketing/operational support.

• Clearly communicate incentive structures and revenue opportunities.

Needs Assessment & Qualification

• Conduct structured discovery conversations to understand the merchant’s business model and operations.

• Gather insights on product offerings, pricing, sales performance, and scope of business.

• Accurately capture and document all relevant information for evaluation and follow-through.

Application Assistance

• Drive efficient merchant onboarding by positioning the end-to-end online application as the default engagement channel.

• Ensure pre-qualification and completeness of requirements prior to application initiation to optimize approval readiness.

• Deploy offline or assisted onboarding sessions only as a secondary channel when online application is declined.

• Provide timely coordination and support to Hunters and merchants to ensure seamless processing and successful application conversion.

Meeting Coordination for Offline/Online Meeting

• Schedule online or offline meetings as a secondary engagement channel when required.

• Coordinate with Sales Admin to ensure timely follow-up and confirmation of meeting status.

Documentation & Reporting

• Record call details, merchant responses, and status updates in the system (when applicable).

• Maintain accurate notes for master files and tracking.

Closing & Customer Experience

• Deliver clear closing statements and next steps.

• Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the interaction.

• Maintain professionalism and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• College level is preferred.

• Experience in telesales, telemarketing, or customer service is an advantage.

• Strong communication and persuasion skills.

• Ability to handle objections and close sales effectively.

• Basic knowledge of sales processes and CRM tools.

• Willingness to work in a target-driven environment.
