Fashion Designer – Leather Belts & Bags
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with experience designing leather belts and bags . The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fashion trends, leather materials, product construction, and creating designs that are both stylish and commercially viable.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop leather belts, handbags, and other leather accessories.
- Create original concepts, sketches, technical drawings, and product specifications.
- Develop designs based on brand requirements, current fashion trends, and target customers.
- Select appropriate leather, hardware, colors, textures, and other materials.
- Create detailed design specifications for manufacturers and production teams.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure designs are accurately produced.
- Review samples and recommend design or construction improvements.
- Research fashion trends, competitors, materials, and new design ideas.
- Maintain organized design files, specifications, measurements, and product details.
- Make revisions based on feedback while maintaining the overall design direction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer , preferably specializing in leather goods, bags, belts, or accessories.
- Strong knowledge of leather materials, hardware, stitching, construction, and finishing.
- Ability to create fashion sketches and technical/product drawings.
- Experience developing products from concept through sample/prototype stage.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of proportions, measurements, and product construction.
- Good understanding of current fashion and accessory trends.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Portfolio showcasing previous bag, belt, leather goods, or accessory designs is required.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
