Payments Operations Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Handle end-to-end payment operations for multiple payment methods, including deposits, withdrawals, card processing, e-wallets and crypto settlements.

• Monitor payment flows and transaction queues to ensure timely processing and minimise delays.

• Investigate and resolve payment anomalies, chargebacks, failed transactions and reconciliation discrepancies.

• Coordinate with finance, compliance, fraud and product teams to escalate and remediate critical incidents.

• Perform daily and periodic reconciliations, prepare reports and support month-end closing activities.

• Maintain accurate transaction records and update internal systems with resolution outcomes.

• Support onboarding and integration of new payment providers by testing flows and validating settlements.

• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives and knowledge base articles to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

• Adhere to regulatory, AML and company policies when handling customer funds and sensitive payment data.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• 2+ years of experience in payments operations, finance operations or a closely related role within fintech, iGaming or e‑commerce.

• Solid understanding of payment lifecycles, settlement mechanisms, reconciliation and chargeback handling.

• Experience working with payment service providers, acquiring banks, PSPs, and crypto gateways is desirable.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and proven ability to investigate and resolve transaction issues.

• Confident use of MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and experience with ticketing/operations platforms.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders in finance, product and compliance.

• Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• English — Intermediate (B1+) or higher.

Nice to have:

• Experience with SQL or data tools to query transaction datasets.

• Familiarity with AML processes, KYC and regulatory reporting obligations.

• Previous exposure to iGaming payment nuances (limits, geo-specific providers, bonus/hold rules).

• Experience with automation tools and scripting to streamline repetitive tasks.
