Refrigerator Technician

Key Responsibilities - Install, inspect, maintain, and repair refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on freezers, chillers, cold rooms, and refrigeration units.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system problems.
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature levels of refrigeration equipment.
- Check refrigerant levels, compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, thermostats, and other components.
- Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak detection when necessary.
- Clean coils, filters, condensers, evaporators, and other refrigeration components.
- Replace defective or damaged parts as needed.
- Respond promptly to refrigeration breakdowns and emergency repairs.
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Ensure refrigeration equipment complies with safety and operational standards.
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling electrical equipment and refrigerants.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- At least High School Graduate ; vocational/technical training in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) is an advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a related position.
- Knowledgeable in refrigeration systems, electrical components, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experienced in preventive maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment.
- Able to use basic tools and testing equipment.
- Physically fit and willing to perform field or maintenance work.
- Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious.
- NC II in RAC/Refrigeration or related certification is an advantage.
